The Conference on Hemispheric Security held in Mexico in 2003 achieved significant interAmerican advances by putting forward the multidimensional security concept where the Region’s different political, economic, and social propositions join together, in this way invigorating international law.El nuevo escenario internacional ha enfrentado a las naciones del mundo a reconceptualizar el término de seguridad internacional. Los enfoques hasta ahora planteados parecieran responder a intereses particulares más que a la necesidad de enfrentar las nuevas amenazas internacionales.
