Durante la intervención, los participantes realizaron diferentes tipos de actividades que involucraron el uso de cámaras digitales como herramientas de aprendizaje. El investigador recolectó información sobre la impresión de los estudiantes sobre el uso de fotografía y evaluó su impacto en el proceso de adquisición de vocabulario. Cuatro instrumentos fueron utilizados: entrevistas semi-estructuradas, encuestas, pruebas y el formato de autoevaluación ICELT.
