Em segundo lugar, propor uma reinterpretação do papel atribuído por Adam Smith a essas duas noções. O trabalho irá reconstruir os principais argumentos da literatura especializada e compará-los com aqueles que resultam de uma releitura do problema à luz da natureza do projeto filosófico de seu autor. Eles chegam a duas conclusões principais: 1) que a maioria dos historiadores do pensamento econômico desprezou a ficção smithiana do Valor em uma “Sociedade em Estágio Primitivo” porque consideravam tanto como um anacronismo histórico ou como uma ficção muito “abstrata”; 2) que, a partir de uma releitura da natureza do projeto filosófico de Adam Smith, o Valor em uma “ Sociedade em Estágio Primitivo “ pode ser entendido como uma ficção analítica relevante para forjar uma lei de valor universal.The work has two main objectives. First, to synthesize the recent debates in the historiography of economic thought about the notions of “Value” and “Early and Rude Society” in The Wealth of Nations. Secondly, to propose a reinterpretation of the role that Adam Smith assigns to these two notions. The work will reconstruct the main arguments of specialized literature and compare them with those resulting from a re-reading of the problem in the light of the nature of the philosophical project of its author. Two main conclusions will be reached: 1) that most historians of economic thought disdained Smithian Value fiction in a “Early and Rude Society” because they considered it either as an historical anachronism or as a too “abstract” fiction; 2) that, from a re-reading of the nature of Adam Smith’s philosophical project, Value in a “Early and Rude Society” can be understood as a relevant analytical fiction to forge a universal law of value.El trabajo tiene dos objetivos principales. En primer lugar, sintetizar los debates recientes de la historiografía del pensamiento económico acerca de las nociones de “valor” y “sociedad ruda y primitiva” en La riqueza de las naciones. En segundo lugar, proponer una reinterpretación del papel que le asigna Adam Smith a estas dos nociones. El trabajo reconstruirá los principales argumentos de la literatura especializada y los cotejará con los que resultan de una relectura del problema a la luz de la naturaleza del proyecto filosófico de su autor.
