In agriculture, their aim is to let machines either do the job or assist the operator in repetitive tasks due to operators must concentrate on driving accurately the agriculture machinery on parallel paths and with high precision in order to avoid overlaps in the field. With GPS guidance-aided systems, commonly known as light-bar guidance, the operator steers the machinery, with an accuracy of 5 inches in the field. This work presents the art study for the use of GPS guidance- aid in machinery and its application in precision agriculture. Actualmente, los ingenieros están trabajando en hacer más pequeñas y fáciles de usar las maquinas existentes, en vez de desarrollar nuevas. En agricultura, su finalidad es optimizar el uso de maquinaria para asistir al operador en tareas repetitivas, debido a que estos deben concentrarse en manejar de forma precisa la maquinaria agrícola en recorridos paralelos y de alta precisión, para evitar el sobrepaso en el campo. Con los sistemas de guianza de GPS, comúnmente conocidos como guianza con barra de luces o banderillero satelital, el operador manipula la maquinaria, con precisiones de hasta 5 pulgadas en el campo.
