The generator is constituted of a Pelton wheel which receives water through a servo valve, and it is connected to a DC generator. It was developed a discrete controller by algebraic methods for controlling the servo valve with the aim of achieving a constant flow of water to the Pelton wheel, allowing a constant voltage generation.Este trabajo presenta el diseño y control de un generador hidráulico para producir energía en la mina subterránea El UVO de la empresa Paz del Rio S.A., aprovechando los caudales de agua que se generan en la explotación de mineral del hierro. El generador está constituido por una rueda Pelton que recibe el agua a través de una servo-válvula, y está conectada a un generador de corriente directa.
