The aim of this paper is to determine the levels of motor development and assertiveness of children from 10 to 12 years old, of extracurricular programs of violin and soccer in Villa de Leyva, supported by a descriptive correlational design, with a quantitative approach, applying the CABS type II assertive behavior scale and the Psychomotor Battery (BPM), these instruments allow to find positive results in the participants of the two groups, by being classified as “good” in the psychomotor profile; in terms of passive and aggressive behavior, heterogeneity is evident and assertive behavior with similar averages of 18.65 and 18.85 is homogeneous. Finally, there is a significant moderate and direct correlation between the levels of motor development and assertiveness of the participants, confirming that the practice of extracurricular activities such as indoor soccer and violin significantly influence the integral development of the child. |

Finally, there is a significant moderate and direct correlation between the levels of motor development and assertiveness of the participants, confirming that the practice of extracurricular activities such as indoor soccer and violin significantly influence the integral development of the child.Este artículo tiene como objetivo determinar los niveles de desarrollo motor y asertividad de niños de 10 a 12 años, de programas extracurriculares de violín y fútbol de salón de Villa de Leyva, apoyado en un diseño descriptivo correlacional, con enfoque cuantitativo, aplicando la escala de comportamiento asertivo CABS tipo II y la Batería psicomotora (BPM). Lo anterior permite encontrar resultados positivos en los participantes de los dos grupos, al clasificarse en el nivel de “bueno” en el perfil psicomotor; así mismo, en cuanto a la conducta pasiva y agresiva se evidencia heterogeneidad y en la conducta asertiva con promedios similares de 18,65 y 18,85 resultan homogéneos. Finalmente, se encuentra una correlación significativa moderada y directa entre los niveles de desarrollo motor y asertividad de los participantes, confirmando que la práctica de actividades extracurriculares como el fútbol de salón y violín, influyen significativamente en el desarrollo integral del niño.O objetivo deste artigo é determinar os níveis de desenvolvimento motor e assertividade de crianças de 10 a 12 anos, a partir de programas extracu- rriculares de violino e futebol de salão em Villa de Leyva, apoiados em um desenho descritivo correlacional, com abordagem quantitativa, aplicando a escala do comportamento assertivo CABS tipo II e a Bateria Psicomotora (BPM), que permite encontrar resultados positivos nos participantes dos dois grupos, pois foram classificados como “bons” no perfil psicomotor; Quanto ao comportamento passivo e agressivo, a heterogeneidade é evi- dente e, no comportamento assertivo, com médias semelhantes de 18,65 e 18,85, são homogêneas.
