However, the conservation record is not inspiring in India and across the world, when its social, economic, and cultural impacts on local people are considered. Conservation projects that exclude local people may conserve natural resources to an extent but not people’s access to livelihoods. By being a densely populated country, India cannot encourage the strategy of “pristine nature” in its conservation initiatives.  La conservación de la biodiversidad y los recursos naturales puede ayudar a ofrecer un suministro sostenible de bienes y servicios para cumplir los derechos de las personas a su desarrollo y sustento. Sin embargo, cuando se consideran los impactos sociales económicos y culturales en la población local, de la conservación ambiental ciertos resultados no son alentadores en la India (ni en todo el mundo). Los proyectos de conservación que excluyen a los habitantes de dichas áreas pueden conservar los recursos naturales hasta cierto punto, pero no el acceso a los medios de vida de estas personas. Por tanto, siendo la India un país densamente poblado no puede alentar la estrategia de "naturaleza prístina" en sus iniciativas de conservación.A conservação da biodiversidade e dos recursos naturais pode ajudar a fornecer um fornecimento sustentável de bens e serviços para cumprir os direitos das pessoas a seu desarrollo e sustento. Se embargo, levando em consideração os impactos sociais econômicos e culturais na população local, a conservação ambiental tem resultados positivos para os promotores na Índia (em todo o mundo). Os projetos de conservação que excluem os habitantes de dichas áreas podem conservar os recursos naturais que têm direito a ponto, mas não o acesso aos meios de vida dessas pessoas.
