The research approach is qualitative, employing a comprehensive hermeneutic method, and the textual sources of information include the narratives of four cultivators, collectors, and social leaders from the region. The achieved results are presented under four analytical categories: social, economic, environmental, and institutional. Among the main findings, it is highlighted that, according to the accounts, the PNIS has not had a significant impact on improving the conditions of the communities affected by coca crops, primarily due to the non-compliance of certain commitments by the government and program beneficiaries.El presente artículo tiene como objetivo describir los relatos de los cultivadores, recolectores y líderes sociales comunitarios sobre el impacto del Programa Nacional Integral de Sustitución de Cultivos Ilícitos (PNIS), en las problemáticas sociales, económicas, ambientales e institucionales del municipio Valle del Guamuez, Putumayo.  El enfoque de investigación es cualitativo, el tipo de estudio corresponde a un método hermenéutico comprensivo y las fuentes de información textuales abordadas fueron los relatos de cuatro cultivadores, recolectores y líderes sociales de la región objeto de estudio. Los resultados alcanzados se presentan agrupados en cuatro categorías de análisis: social, económica, ambiental e institucional.
