This study delves into how students construct their self-image and the aspects of behavior that shape it. The study wasconducted with 34 students in a public school in Boyacá. Moreover, the instruments used to gather data were students´ artifacts, a semi-structured interview and a questionnaire. It was found that there is a dichotomy in the participants’ behavior while they are at home with their parents and when interacting with peers at school. It was also found that the behaviors that shape their self-image relate to the  way they are transitioning from children to adolescents. Students started defining themselves with more critical and mature insights.spaspaUniversidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombiahttps://revistas.uptc.edu.co/index.php/enletawa_journal/article/view/5439/4508Copyright (c) 2016 ENLETAWA JOURNALhttp://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2Enletawa Journal; Vol. 8 No. 2 (2015): July, DecemberEnletawa Journal; Vol. 8 Núm. 2 (2015): July, December2463-19652011-835XIdentityself-imageadolescencedichotomybehavior.Students´ Self-Image Construction Through Writing from a Socialinfo:eu-repo/semantics/articlehttp://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_2df8fbb1Siachoque Cárdenas, Nayibe Pilar001/16029oai:repositorio.uptc.edu.co:001/160292025-07-18 11:15:27.137metadata.onlyhttps://repositorio.uptc.edu.coRepositorio Institucional UPTCrepositorio.uptc@uptc.edu.co
