In this sense, the present work attempts to approach the case of the integration and recognition of the free population of the city of Caloto, And the contiguous seat of Quilichao. The analysis of the census carried out in the year 1784 in Caloto and of the decompiled documentation of the General Archive of the Nation, from the colony section (Cauca populations) allows the observation and identification that in the framework of the interwoven relationships of the free or mestizo population there were some activities that influenced incorporation and the forms of participation in the community. |

Se promovieron nuevas leyes y derechos, que motivaron en la población libre un reconocimiento de sus calidades y estados en el espacio de las localidades de la América hispana. En ese sentido, el presente trabajo pretende abordar el caso de la integración y reconocimiento de población libre de la ciudad de Caloto y del contiguo asiento de Quilichao. El análisis al padrón ejecutado en el año 1784 en Caloto y de la documentación recopilada del Archivo General de la Nación de la seccióncolonia (poblaciones Cauca) permiten observar e identificar que en el marco de las relaciones entretejidas de la población libre o mestiza, hubo unas actividades que incidieron en la incorporación y formas de participación en la vecindad.L’arrivé des Bourbons à la Monarchie hispanique a entrainédes manières nouvelles de concevoir la société adscrite à soncorps politique. On a promu des nouvelles lois et droits qui ont motivé une reconnaissance de ses qualités et des états de la population dans l’espace de l’Amérique hispanique. En ce sens,ce travail tente d’analyser l’intégration et la reconnaissance de liberté donné à la ville de Caloto et l’établissement de Quilichao.
