Received: 10/06/2020.  Accepted: 15/06/2020.  Published: 18/06/2020.Los profundos cambios globales asociados a la crisis sanitaria, social y económica, producto del nuevo coronavirus COVID-19 (Du et al., 2020; Estalella, Zabalegui, y Guerra, 2020; Huang et al., 2020), han puesto de manifiesto  las barreras a la innovación  en los sistemas de salud, justificados en débiles conocimientos y procesos tecnológicos, incertidumbre y rechazo de las personas a la modificación en los patrones de rutina, revelando en términos generales aversión al cambio (García-Alegría y Gómez-Huelgas, 2020), sin embargo demostrando la imperiosa necesidad de una rápida capacidad de respuesta frente a estos cambios emergentes o súbitos, en un entorno altamente turbulento (Burnes, 2005; Sandoval Duque, 2014).
