Description
Summary:This paper presents the results of a series of direct equivalencies between the dynamic probing super heavy (DPSH) and the standard penetration test (SPT) based on 129 data collected from different geotechnical exploration projects carried out in Colombia. The equivalences between the results of the tests were obtained in terms of blows, comparing these for different textural groupings of soils based on, mainly, in classification laboratory tests. As a result of a statistical analysis of these data, five direct equivalences were derived formed on the granulometric classification of the soil, which have been compared with the proposals of other authors. This process allows expanding the range of use for other soil textures that had not currently been used correlated.
