Originality/support: This work identifies the lines of interest that emerged in educational research as a consequence of covid-19 during 2020 and its influence, if any, in the generation of international policies and in Latin America. Method: A study of scientific publications on the topic "education in covid-19 pandemic" in two international databases, Web of Science and Dialnet. The former containing data from American and European publications and the latter with data from Latin America and the Caribbean. The documentary search is complemented by guidelines and directives on educational policies issued by international organizations, such as UNESCO, UNICEF, among others. The methodology used here follows a mixed approach. Strategies/information collection: by using bibliometric techniques with the metadata of the 2020 publications and relying on documentary analysis from a semiotic perspective, Conclusions: it was found that the publications in WoS essentially focus on concerns about students, education and technologies, while the publications on Dialnet focus on questions and reflections on the effect of covid-19 on students from a social and educational perspective. This shows two defining lines, an international one related to educational tools and a regional one centered on the student as a being in the process of formation.

Originalidad/aporte:  Este trabajo logra encontrar las líneas de interés que surgieron en la investigación educativa por el influjo del covid-19 durante el lapso 2020 y su incidencia, si la hay, en la generación de políticas internacionales y en LATAM. Método: Para esto, se realiza un estudio de la producción científica publicada alrededor del tema “educación en pandemia covid-19” en dos bases internacionales, Web of Science y Dialnet. La primera con datos de publicaciones americanas y europeas, y la segunda con producción de América Latina y el Caribe. La búsqueda documental se complementa con lineamientos y directrices sobre políticas educativas generadas por organismos internacionales, como la UNESCO, UNICEF, entre otros. El enfoque metodológico es mixto. Estrategias/recolección de información: al hacer uso de técnicas bibliométricas con los metadatos de las publicaciones realizadas durante el 2020 y apoyados en el análisis documental desde una perspectiva semiótica. Conclusiones: Se encontró que un núcleo de publicaciones en la WoS se centra en inquietudes en torno a los estudiantes, la educación y las tecnologías; mientras que las publicaciones en Dialnet generan preguntas y reflexiones centradas en el efecto del covid-19 en los estudiantes desde lo social y educativo. Esto deja ver dos líneas definidas,  una internacional ligada a las herramientas educativas y otra regional centrada en el sujeto en formación.Objectivo: artigo é analisar as tendências da investigação sobre educação em pandemias e a sua ligação com as directrizes das organizações internacionais destinadas a resolver a crise no ambiente educativo durante o ano 2020. Originalidade / contribuição: Este trabalho consegue encontrar as linhas de interesse que surgiram na investigação educacional devido à influência da covid-19 durante o período de 2020 e o seu impacto, se houver, na geração de políticas internacionais e na LATAM.
