This time, Daniel Balderston has accepted our invitation to contribute to this issue in relation to his book How Borges Wrote – coming soon in Spanish; his paper published here is linked with the same research that is found this book. It is a genetic study of the manuscript of the rewritten The Garden of Forking Paths [El jardín de los senderos que se bifurcan] in Credit pages from an accounting ledger. The second draft of “Examination of the Work of Herbert Quain” [“Examen de la obra de Herbert Quain”] is deeply analyzed.  As a result of this study, Daniel states that it is possible to specify the date of this manuscript.Pensar con Borges, título de este número de La Palabra, pretende ser una contribución, más bien, a repensar a Borges y volver sobre él y sobre los problemas que persisten hoy, que fueron fundados en su vasta obra. Hemos invitado a Daniel Balderston a este número ya que hace dos años se publicó su libro How Borges Wrote del que está por aparecer su versión en castellano. En este mismo sentido, Daniel, con mucha amabilidad, nos comparte un artículo acerca del cuaderno de contabilidad, marca Carabela, donde Borges reescribió algunos de sus cuentos. El tema de los manuscritos es una novedad para el estudio de la obra del escritor argentino y se presenta como una nueva manera de ver a un autor de esta envergadura. Contamos, pues, con el privilegio de presentar este artículo.Pensar com Borges, título deste número de La Palabra, procura ser uma contribuição, ou melhor ainda, repensar Borges e voltar a ele e aos problemas que persistem hoje, fundados por sua vasta obra. Neste número, convidamos Daniel Balderston à participação, já que há dois anos seu livro How Borges Wrote foi publicado e a versão em espanhol está prestes a aparecer. Daniel, com muita amabilidade, partilha conosco um artigo acerca do caderno de contabilidade, marca Carabela, no qual Borges reescreveu alguns dos seus contos. O tema dos manuscritos é uma novidade para o estudo da obra do escritor argentino e apresenta-se como uma nova maneira de ver um autor de tal envergadura.
