The Gallegos traders who settled down, by the end of the XVIII century, adapted to this new situation by means of the implementation of different economic and social revolution strategies. Because of this fact, the objective of this research paper is to analyze this historical period from the perspective of a peninsular Spanish social group: The Posse, who went through this revolutionary period – with some difficulties – thanks to the economic and family links, were established since their arrival to the Viceroyalty of Río de La Plata in 1780.La transición del Antiguo Régimen al proceso de revolución e  independencia generó en el contexto económico la reorientación  definitiva - en el caso del Río de la Plata - de los flujos comerciales hacia el Atlántico. No 1 (2010): Independencias; 55-862322-777X2027-5137TransitiontradefamilyrevolutionTransicióncomerciofamiliarevoluciónBusiness, family and social reproduction strategies between the old regimen and the independence and revolution process in Tucumán, 1780 – 1820.
