In Colombia, where managing construction projects requires a more strategic approach, implementing BPM presents a valuable opportunity to improve efficiency and agility at all stages, from planning to after-sales. The effective integration of BPM represents a significant breakthrough, enabling companies to achieve higher levels of productivity and efficiency in a highly competitive environment. This article proves from the research the importance of the methodology and the potential benefit of its use in the different civil works projects since they are made up of processes. In the end, adopting the BPM methodology in the construction sector will not only optimize the management of projects but will also contribute to the sustainable growth and global development of this fundamental industry.La metodología de Business Process Management (BPM) surge como una filosofía de gestión esencial en la optimización de procesos de negocio, demostrando su relevancia en el sector de la construcción. En Colombia, donde la gestión de proyectos constructivos requiere un enfoque más estratégico, la implementación de BPM se presenta como una oportunidad valiosa para mejorar la eficiencia y la agilidad en todas las etapas, desde la planificación hasta la postventa. La integración efectiva de BPM representa un avance significativo, permitiendo a las empresas alcanzar niveles más altos de productividad y eficacia en un entorno altamente competitivo. En este artículo se evidencia desde la investigación la importancia de la metodología y el enfoque potencial que puede llegar en los diferentes proyectos de obras civiles, ya que estos se componen de procesos.
