A specific 29 items test and a Likert responsescale (4 options), based on the article ”sca|e environmental attitudes toward specific problems"(1) was adapted. With these preliminary results it can be concluded, that there is a great individual concern in several aspects related to environmental problems.Therefore, to promote environmental education is necessary a process of values, concepts and attitudes recognition,in order to potentiate the educational strategies that generate positive social and cultural change implementation.Describe los resultados de una investigación en educación ambiental que tuvo como propósito caracterizar las concepciones y creencias de los estudiantes de básica secundaria del sector rural sobre el medioambiente. Los participantes fueron 61 alumnos y alumnas de la Institución Educativa Técnica Salamanca, del Municipio de Samacá, Boyacá-Colombia, y los ejes de indagación fueron aspectos proambientales a partir de cuatro categorías principales: a) Preocupación individual, b) Preocupación social, c) Confianza y d) Criterio. Se adaptó un test especifico de 29 ítems y una escala de respuesta tipo Liker (4 opciones), basados en Moreno, Corraliza y Ruíz (1). De los resultados preliminares se puede concluir que existe gran preocupación individual en varios aspectos relacionados con la problemática ambiental.
