description In the last decades, a generation of young female decimistas, writers and improvisers of the poetic form of the décima, has emerged in Mexican tradition of son jarocho. This generation has found in electronic media a tool to make their voice heard and weave community ties in a context of increasing globalization. In this article, I show that the young Mexican poet and musician Evelin Acosta, in her book Decimario (2021), questions the male figure of the troubadour and the tropes of the romantic love associated with it. Her use of print and electronic media takes elements of oral culture and adapts them to contemporary global needs. I conclude that the dissemination of the décima in print and electronic media has become a valuable strategy to preserve and maintain the relevancy of the versada jarocha, as well as a method of interrogating the violence of patriarchal structures in the traditional son.

Esta generación ha encontrado en las redes sociales una  herramienta para hacerse oír y tejer lazos comunitarios en un contexto de creciente globalización. En este artículo, demuestro cómo la joven poeta y músico mexicana Evelin Acosta, en su libro Decimario (2021), pone en cuestión la figura masculina del trovador y los tropos del amor romántico asociados a esta. Su uso de medios impresos y electrónicos retoma elementos de la cultura oral para adaptarlos a las necesidades globales contemporáneas. Concluyo que la divulgación de la décima en medios impresos y electrónicos se ha convertido en una estrategia valiosa para preservar y difundir la versada jarocha, y a la vez para cuestionar la violencia de las estructuras patriarcales en el son tradicional.Nas últimas décadas, surgiu no México uma geração de jovens versadoras de son jarocho que se dedicam tanto à décima escrita quanto à improvisada. Esta geração encontrou nas redes sociais uma ferramenta para fazer-se ouvir e tecer laços comunitários em um contexto de crescente globalização. Neste artigo, mostro como a jovem poetisa e música mexicana Evelin Acosta, em seu livro Decimario (2021), questiona a figura masculina do trovador e os tropos de amor romântico a ele associados. Seu uso de mídia impressa e eletrônica toma elementos da cultura oral e os adapta às necessidades globais contemporâneas.
