description This paper presents the design and implementation of a Literary Constellation with university students, based on a corpus of texts that address violence, women and undocumented immigrants as references. The aim was to foster scenarios of democratic participation through literary conversations, as well as the possibility of experiencing the otherness that aesthetic languages stimulate. The methodology for systematizing the experience followed the ethnographic analysis of the dialogues that took place in the classes; in this way, it was shown that, rather than individuality, it is sharing with others that can arouse feelings of empathy and compassion towards situations of human vulnerability recreated by literature. The reading practice described above suggests that it is a form of mobilization for engaging in discussion and dialogue with the diverse perspectives that exist in specific school populations; this aims to create or enhance democratic spaces of interaction.

El objetivo fue potenciar escenarios de participación democrática a través de las conversaciones literarias, así como la posibilidad de experimentar la otredad que los lenguajes estéticos favorecen. La metodología para sistematizar la experiencia siguió el análisis etnográfico de los diálogos que se desarrollaron en las clases. De esta manera quedó demostrado que, más que la individualidad, es el compartir con otros lo que puede suscitar sentimientos de empatía y compasión hacia situaciones de vulneración humana recreadas por la literatura. Como conclusión de la práctica de lectura descrita, se propone que dicha práctica constituye una forma de movilización hacia la discusión y el diálogo de los diferentes puntos de vista que concurren en las poblaciones escolares concretas, ello en aras de generar o robustecer espacios democráticos de interacción.Este artigo apresenta a concepção e implementação de uma constelação literária com estudantes universitários, por meio de um corpus de textos cujas referências são a violência, as mulheres e os imigrantes indocumentados. O objetivo foi promover cenários de participação democrática por meio de conversas literárias, bem como a possibilidade de vivenciar a alteridade que as linguagens estéticas favorecem. A metodologia para sistematizar a experiência seguiu a análise etnográfica dos diálogos ocorridos nas aulas; dessa forma, demonstrou-se que, mais do que a individualidade, é o compartilhar com o outro que pode despertar sentimentos de empatia e compaixão diante das situações de vulnerabilidade humana recriadas pela literatura.
