It was known as the Cristeros war. The paper aims to point out the value that women played in that rebellion not only as irearm, munition and news providers among the different rebellious groups but also as importantentities in the conservation and clandestine practice characteristic of the catholic worship. Thus, the paper intends to ind out what the personal and social drivingforces of those women were to act in favour of the war no matter the consequences.El presente texto tiene como objetivo resaltar la presencia y participación de las mujeres michoacanas durante el conflicto entre el Estado y la Iglesia católica en México en la primera mitad del siglo XX conocido como la Guerra de los Cristeros. Ello, con la finalidad principal de puntualizar la gran importancia que tuvieron las mujeres en dicho movimiento no sólo como proveedoras de armas, municiones y noticias entre diferentes grupos, sino como entes fundamentales en la conservación y realización clandestina de las actividades propias del culto católico.
