However, the merely nonconformist character resulted in the loss of grouping capacity by the students and in wastingEn esta investigación se realiza una reconstrucción crítica de los procesos y momentos de protesta y movilización estudiantil en el contexto de la coyuntura de confrontación social desatada por la iniciativa del Gobierno Nacional de Colombia de reformar el sistema de educación superior, profundizando el caso de la Universidad Industrial de Santander, Colombia. Se empleó un diseño cualitativo de investigación aplicando entrevistas en profundidad a nueve líderes visibles estudiantiles de la institución, analizando el contexto universitario años 2011 y 2012 y las particularidades de la situación al interior de la universidad. De los resultados se destaca un movimiento estudiantil de oportunidad política coyuntural, la incorporación de dispositivos culturales y de medios tecnológicos de eficacia simbólica pero el carácter meramente contestatario derivó en la pérdida de su capacidad de aglutinamiento de los estudiantes y en el desperdicio de la oportunidad de transformación de la educación superior desde la participación en el ámbito local. Nesta pesquisa se realiza uma reconstrução crítica dos processos e momentos de protesto e mobilização estudantil no contexto da conjuntura de confrontação social iniciada pela iniciativa do Governo Nacional da Colômbia de reformar o sistema de educação superior, aprofundando o caso da Universidade Industrial de Santander, Colômbia. Empregou-se um desenho qualitativo de pesquisa aplicando entrevistas em profundidade com visíveis lideranças estudantis da instituição, analisando o contexto universitário dos anos 2011 e 2012 e as particularidades da situação no interior da universidade.
