description A new chapter in History of Honduras was written as early as 1876: the Liberal Reform (1876-1905) led by the Marco Aurelio Soto Administration, initiating the Honduran State modernization process and being part of a wave of reformist governments that emerged in Latin America during the second half of the XIX century. The transformations in the education field during that period were primarily intended to develop an educational practice based on the positivist system proposed by the ideologist of this reform, Dr. Ramón Rosa, by means of the first Code of Public Instruction in 1882. In this context, the aim of this article is to analyze, from a Foucauldian perspective, the forms of school control through the exploration of regulations found in the first Code of Public Instruction and their articulation with school practices developed in primary education in Honduras between 1882 and 1889 that have been observed in the reports of school principals and inspectors of education. Four initial categories arise from this exercise in order to reflect on education in Honduras in the last two decades of the XIX century: teaching practice, teaching methods, school evaluation, and discipline.

Las transformaciones en el ámbito educativo durante ese periodo tuvieron como fin primordial desarrollar una praxis educativa basada en el sistema positivo propuesto por el ideólogo de dicha reforma, el doctor Ramón Rosa, a través del primer Código de Instrucción Pública de 1882. En este contexto, el objetivo del presente artículo fue analizar, desde la perspectiva foucaultiana, las formas de control escolar por medio de la exploración de normativas presentes en el primer Código de Instrucción Pública y su articulación con las prácticas escolares desarrolladas en la educación primaria hondureña entre 1882 y 1899, visualizadas en los informes de los directores generales de instrucción primaria y los inspectores de instrucción. De este ejercicio resultan cuatro categorías iniciales para reflexionar sobre la educación hondureña en las últimas dos décadas del siglo XIX: ejercicio docente, los métodos de enseñanza, la disciplina y la evaluación escolar.À partir de 1876, le Honduras commence à écrire une nouvelle page dans son histoire: la Réforme Libérale (1876-1905), menée par le gouvernement de Marco Aurelio Soto, déclenchant le processus de modernisation de l’État hondurien et faisant partie de la vague de gouvernements qui ont surgi en Amérique latine durant la deuxième moitié du XIXe siècle. Les transformations subies dans le contexte éducatif pendant cette période ont eu pour objectif primordial de développer une pratique éducative basée sur le système positiviste proposé par l’idéologue de cette réforme, le docteur Ramón Rosa, moyennant le premier Code d’Instruction Publique de 1882. Dans ce contexte, le but de cet article est d’analyser, depuis une perspective foucaldienne, les formes de contrôle scolaire par l’exploration de règlements présentés dans le premier Code d’Instruction Publique et l’articulation de ceux-ci avec les pratiques scolaires développées dans l’enseignement primaire au Honduras entre 1882 et 1889 qui ont été visualisées dans les rapports des directeurs d’école et les inspecteurs de l’éducation. Il existe quatre catégories initiales qui découlent de cet exercice pour réfléchir à l’éducation hondurienne dans les deux dernières décennies du XIXe siècle: la pratique d’enseignement, les méthodes d’enseignement, la discipline et l’évaluation scolaire.A partir de 1876, Honduras começa a escrever uma nova página de sua história: a Reforma Liberal (1876-1905) com o governo de Marco Aurelio Soto, que inicia o processo de modernização do Estado hondurenho, fazendo parte da onda de governos reformadores que surgiram em Latino América durante a segunda metade do século XIX. As transformações no âmbito educativo durante esse período tiveram como fim primordial desenvolver uma praxis educativa baseada no sistema positivo proposto pelo ideólogo de dita reforma, o doutor Ramón Rosa, através do primeiro Código de Instrução Pública de 1882. Neste contexto, o objetivo do presente artigo foi analisar, desde a perspectiva foucaultiana, as formas de controle escolar por médio da exploração de regulamentos presentes no primeiro Código de Instrução Pública e sua articulação com as práticas escolares desenvolvidas na educação primária hondurenha entre 1882 e 1899, visualizadas nos relatórios dos diretores gerais de instrução primária e os inspetores de instrução.
