Now, several families have returned and it is required to establish the degree of threat present there. Some geological and geotechnical studies have been made to assess the current level of stability and to define the necessary actions to enable the zone to agricultural activities.Durante la fuerte ola invernal del primer semestre del año 2011, se presentaron en el municipio de Jericó, departamento de Boyacá, Colombia, movimientos en masa con consecuencias desastrosas. Intensas lluvias ocasionaron diversos fenómenos de remoción en cinco veredas, de las cuales La Estancia fue afectada por un deslizamiento del terreno que abarcó cerca de 360 hectáreas y produjo la evacuación de muchas familias. Ahora, algunas de ellas han regresado y es preciso establecer el grado de amenaza allí presente.
