description The article presents the results of the research that aimed to know the perceptions about the community actions done in environmental education in the municipality of Chiquinquirá, Boyacá, Colombia. The approach was the hermeneutic with an interpretative method. The techniques for the collection of information were dialogic encounters and focused interviews. They were implemented with environmental and community leaders, experts in the region, teachers and students. The results showed actions of reorientation of values such as: respect for nature and life, preservation and environmental protection, rational use of natural resources and social responsibility with cultural sense. The school environmental projects include the environmental dimension, but require an understanding of the local community and institutional appropriation, as well as a response to the community dynamics. Actions such as reforestation, reduction of garbage volumes, and cleaning river shores demand of the inhabitants a greater awareness, change of pedagogical strategies and reorientation of environmental knowledge. There is a need of training environmentally committed citizens in order to reduce the decay of nature.

El enfoque fue hermenéutico y el método interpretativo. Las técnicas de recolección de información fueron encuentros dialógicos y entrevista focalizada, aplicadas con líderes comunitarios y ambientales, conocedores de la región, docentes y estudiantes. Los resultados evidencian acciones de resignificación de valores: respeto por la naturaleza y la vida, preservación y protección ambiental, uso racional de recursos naturales y responsabilidad social con sentido cultural. Los proyectos ambientales escolares incluyen la dimensión ambiental, pero requieren de una lectura de la localidad y apropiación institucional, además de respuesta a las dinámicas de la comunidad. Las acciones como la reforestación, reducción de volúmenes de basura y limpieza de la ronda de los ríos demandan una mayor conciencia, cambio de estrategias pedagógicas y resignificación del saber ambiental en los habitantes. Existe la necesidad de formar ciudadanos comprometidos y ambientalmente justos, para reducir el deterioro de la naturaleza.Cet article présente les conclusions d’un projet de recherche visant à connaître les perceptions quant aux actions humanitaires en matière d’éducation environnementale dans la municipalité de Chiquinquirá, à Boyacá, en Colombie. Le texte est exploré avec une approche herméneutique et une méthode interprétative. Les données ont été collectées par des rencontres dialogiques et desentretiens ciblées avec les chefs communautaires et de projets environnementaux, des connaisseurs de la région, des enseignants et des étudiants. Les résultats mettent en évidence des actions de redéfinition de valeurs telles que : le respect de la nature et de la vie, la préservation et la protection de l’environnement, l’utilisation raisonnée des ressources naturelles, et la responsabilité sociale avec un sens de la culture. Les projets environnementaux scolaires incluent la composante environnementale mais ils requièrent une compréhension de la localité et une appropriation institutionnelle, outre une réponse aux dynamiques de la communauté. Les actions telles que le reboisement, la diminution des déchets, le nettoyage des rivières exigent de mieux prendre conscience, ainsi que de changer les stratégies pédagogiques et de donner une nouvelle signification au savoir environnemental chez les habitants. Il faut former des citoyens engagés et équitables avec l’environnement afin de réduire la dégradation de la nature.O artigo apresenta os resultados da pesquisa que buscou conhecer as percepções sobre ações comunitárias em educação ambiental no município de Chiquinquirá, Boyacá, na Colômbia. A abordagem foi hermenêutica e o método interpretativo. As técnicas de colheita de informação foram encontros dialógicos e entrevista enfocada, aplicadas com líderes comunitários e ambientais, conhecedores da região, professores e alunos. Os resultados evidenciam ações de ressignificação de valores: respeito à natureza e à vida, preservação e proteção ambiental, uso racional dos recursos naturais e responsabilidade social com um sentido cultural. Os projetos ambientais escolares incluem a dimensão ambiental, mas exigem uma leitura da localidade e apropriação institucional, além disso, como uma resposta às dinâmicas da comunidade. As ações como reflorestamento, redução de volumes de lixo e limpeza das beiras dos rios exigem uma maior conscientização, mudança de estratégias pedagógicas e ressignificação do conhecimento ambiental nos habitantes.
