Las unidades textuales: organizadoras del texto.

La forma como los autores se refieren en su escrito a la organización que le han dado a su texto, ha sido abordada desde diversas perspectivas y ha recibido varios nombres. Un estudio de esta función en los textos escolares, nos llevó a identificar aquellas partes que realizan primordialmente esta función y su importancia para facilitar la comprensión y aprendizaje de los contenidos por parte de los estudiantes, que muchas veces son lectores inexpertos y recién llegados al campo de los conocimientos científicos. El presente artículo presenta una caracterización de las que hemos denominado Unidades Textuales en los textos de Ciencias Sociales y Ciencias Naturales. Discute también la importancia de su presencia en dichos textos y la forma como los maestros deben evaluarlas, suplirlas o hacer uso de ellas.Palabras clave: Libros de texto, gramática sistémico funcional, función textual, maestros, aprendizajeThe way authors refer to the organization of their texts within the text itself has been discussed from a variety of perspectives and has received different names. A study of this function across school textbooks has allowed us to identify those parts that are primarily concerned with this function and their importance to facilitate understanding and learning by the students, who are often unexperienced readers and newcomers to the field of scientific knowledge. This article presents the characteristics of what we have called Textual Units in the Social Science and Natural Science textbooks. It also discusses the importance of its presence in these types of text and the way teachers must evaluate them, replace or make use of them.Key words: Textbooks, systemic functional grammar, textual function, teachers, learning.
