The second methodology of study isthe analysis of the information obtained through questionnaires to executive directorsof the technology-based enterprises and BIC’s, the centers of business innovation.Both analysis were made on European enterprises, and it show an importance givento the operation of knowledge- to the articulation of knowledge from within andoutside the company, and to the support of the production of new knowledge, whichappears essential for their survival.Nos interesamos en el rol de la gestión de conocimientos en las organizacionesintensivas en conocimiento. Para estudiarlo, hemos analizado dos tipos deorganizaciones: Los laboratorios académicos y las empresas de base tecnológicaubicadas en parques tecnológicos. Para el análisis, hemos utilizado dos metodologías:La primera se basa en un estudio de terreno mediante observacióndirecta, entrevistas y seguimiento de dos laboratorios. La segunda metodologíase basa en la aplicación de encuestas, a través de entrevistas personales a unnúmero representativo de directivos de las empresas de base tecnológica y loscentros de innovación de negocios (BIC`s).
