Summary:Our interest is the operation of knowledge among knowledge-based enterprises.To study these enterprises, we group them in two categories: the academic laboratoriesand the technology-based enterprises located in technological parks. To analyze themwe have utilized two methodologies, the first is a field study with direct observation,interviews and follow ups of two laboratories. The second methodology of study isthe analysis of the information obtained through questionnaires to executive directorsof the technology-based enterprises and BIC’s, the centers of business innovation.Both analysis were made on European enterprises, and it show an importance givento the operation of knowledge- to the articulation of knowledge from within andoutside the company, and to the support of the production of new knowledge, whichappears essential for their survival.
