At the end, will be presented a reflection about the condition of these indians, having as example the indians of the city of Ponta Grossa/PR, Brazil. These analyzes will glimpse that the history of relations between Indians and non-Indians in Brazil has been marked by conflict, in view of the various negative ways of representing the Indian, and that, despite the recent gains in the political and juridical camp, there is still discriminatory practices and attitudes.

Así, la investigación iniciará primero de un estudio bibliográfico que aborda la construcción de la figura del indio en el pensamiento brasileño, analizando más adelante, cómo si estableció la relación entre el Estado (colonial y nacional), la sociedad y los pueblos indígenas desde estas representaciones. Al final, será presentada una reflexión sobre la condición de estos indígenas, tomando como ejemplo los indios de la ciudad de Ponta Grossa/PR Brasil. Estos análisis vislumbrarán que la historia de las relaciones entre indios y no indios en Brasil siempre ha estado marcada por conflictos, teniendo en cuenta las diversas formas negativas de representación del indio, y que, a pesar de los recientes logros en el campo político y jurídico, aún hay prácticas y actitudes discriminatorias. / O presente trabalho tem como propósito abordar algumas questões relacionadas aos indígenas no Brasil a fim de compreender melhor a atual situação dos índios aldeados que transitam pelas cidades em busca de alternativas de sobrevivência. Assim, a pesquisa partirá primeiramente de um estudo bibliográfico que aborda a construção da figura do índio no pensamento brasileiro, analisando posteriormente como se estabeleceu o relacionamento entre Estado (colonial e nacional), sociedade e povos indígenas a partir destas representações. Ao final, será apresentada uma reflexão acerca da condição destes indígenas, tendo como exemplo os índios da cidade de Ponta Grossa/PR, Brasil.
