The ideal perspective is characterized by having a societyvision in which the universal access to the information throughout the technology usageexists. The strategic perspective underlies the existence of several interests from differentactors who take part in the phenomenon development. In the ethic-power perspective theinformation society is understood as a set of processes that occur in power relationshipsand affect the individual and collective ethic. This perspective takes advantage of thepower of the ideal vision and sees the strategic perspective as a game of actors to proposeanalysis elements in the implementation initiatives.En este artículo se presentan tres perspectivas para entender el fenómenode desarrollo de la sociedad de la información: Una perspectiva idealista,una perspectiva estratégica y una perspectiva de poder-ética. La primera secaracteriza por ofrecer una visión de sociedad donde hay acceso universal ala información a través del uso de tecnología; la segunda resalta la existenciade intereses diversos de diferentes actores que participan en el desarrollo delfenómeno; en la tercera, la sociedad de la información se entiende como unconjunto de procesos que ocurren en relaciones de poder y afectan la éticaindividual y colectiva.
