Description
Summary:An illuminance measurement system will make it possible to rigorously verify compliance with the levels required by the standard. This allows the processes that take place in these spaces to be carried out without problems due to insufficient light. In addition, this project supports national technological growth, since it gives students the opportunity to create systems that solve local problems. The design and construction of a system composed of software that indicates the location of the measurement system in the area and displays the results, and a hardware system to measure illuminance is proposed. The hardware is based on LoRaWAN for the transmission of sensor data. Illuminance is measured by the 9-point method using three nodes to measure at three points at a time. The data is transmitted to the Gateway connected to the PC where the visualization software is running, developed using Python as programming language. Restrictions • Environmental - Low consumption system, must not use elements manufactured with polluting or carcinogenic substances and the operating frequencies must not affect the health of those who operate the hardware. • Economic – Low-cost system (lower than similar systems on the market) • Usability/Construction – Robust hardware for work outdoors and should not interfere with the work carried out in the environment. • Social - The system may only be used by trained personnel. It was possible to design and build a program that indicates the location of the illuminance measurement system in each area and shows the results, as well as a hardware system to measure illuminance and transmit the information to the visualization software. The measurements were validated by comparing them with that of a luxmeter for validation with a low average illuminance calculation error, and it was possible to verify the stability of the measurements by performing several repetitions of measurements with each node.
