Summary:In the ninety’s decade diverse tension and financial crisis episodes have beenobserved to the long and wide of the world. In these episodes they have been involvedthe financial domestic systems so much, as the foreign currency market and of internaland external debt. The bank crises have been more frequent in the last two decades.The occurrence of these events has generated, consequently, a wide volume of conceptualand empiric research. This work had two purposes. First of all, to present in asynthetic way the outstanding results for the economic politics. Secondly, to discusscertain mechanisms by means the regulation politics and supervision could use theseresults in a productive way. It is divided in three parts, each one dedicated to a specificobjective. In the first part, an effort to synthesize what we currently know about thebank crises is done.
