Summary: | Gender violence is a problem that is deeply rooted in the Colombian context, affecting all sectors of society, but mainly women. At the national level, the department of Antioquia has the highest rates of victims of gender violence, which is why the Lola G. Luna integral center was created, which will be in Medellin. The complex will be located in the urban area of the city since its functionality requires adequate accessibility. The main objective of the project is to offer legal and psychological counseling to victims, as well as giving talks to promote the prevention of the problem in question. In addition, rooms will be installed to provide temporary accommodation in the most extreme cases. The lot defined for the complex has 2.5 hectares, which will be divided into a main building, a secondary building with nursing and pharmacy services, a PTAR, a coliseum, a court, an outdoor gymnasium, a parking lot and multiple green areas. In order to carry out the infrastructure design, it was first necessary to compile preliminary data on the area, such as topography. Subsequently, soil, hydrological and hydraulic studies were carried out in order to compile the necessary information for the structural, road, pavement and internal network designs. The environmental management plan was also prepared in order to mitigate the consequent effects of the urbanization, and finally the construction budget and bidding process guidelines were prepared. This project contemplated the integral applications of the concepts learned during the course of study, which made it possible to demonstrate the importance of interdisciplinarity and dependence that exists between the different areas of a real engineering project. |
