The self areas which are more related tobuying impulsive behavior concern economics, beauty and physical condition(weight).Diversos estudios realizados por Luna y Helga Dittmar indican una relaciónentre la compra impulsiva con las discrepancias del self de los consumidores.Esta investigación se basa en estudios realizados por Luna en España yDenegri en Chile, mediante la aplicación de la escala de consumo de Luna(2000) para describir las características de compra impulsiva del homosexualmasculino en Barranquilla (Colombia).Los resultados indican que la presencia de compra impulsiva en los homosexualesmasculinos en Barranquilla se centra en la búsqueda de novedad,exclusividad y la relación hedónica entre el producto y la compra.
