Thus, the exports promotion has become a Government’spriority policy in developed, recent industrialized, and especially in developingcountries to consider strong implications that export has in a nation’s economicpolitics. In this context, this research pretends, through the case study methodology,to propose a model to determine the influence exerted by export’s promotion duringthe industrial SME’s exporter process in a Colombian region facing a series ofbarriers to develop export activities.La promoción de exportaciones surge como una respuesta amplia alas necesidades de la Pyme, a raíz de la complejidad para exportar yde su carencia de recursos, capacidades, experiencia y conocimientos,que pueden situarla en desventaja competitiva en los mercados internacionales.Así, la promoción de exportaciones se ha convertido en unapolítica prioritaria de los gobiernos de los países desarrollados, reciénindustrializados y, especialmente, en vías de desarrollo, al considerar lasfuertes implicaciones que tiene la exportación en la política económicade una nación.
