Summary:This paper conveys the current outcomes of a site discovery which has redefined space and history of itself through a strategy of general characterization based on an archeological context, admitting an integral manner. Technical geophysic application - magnetic and electric scanning- together with historical-archeological research brought forth the data base that it was once expected for. It was also achieved the new area discovery linked with this site, in essence, the recognition of the area in which the site is integrated, under a sui generis logic of space organization, probable order of settlement and the evaluation of race mixtures by the way of sociocultural process. The Old Town of Nuevitas, in Camagüey, Cuba is an emblematic emplacement to know the first stages of formation in Santa María del Puerto del Principe from the beginnings of 16th century plus other themes of cultural change that involves aboriginal survival 18th and 19th centuries.
