If they areused well, they would be an indicator of the Feasibility of the specific project: establishing the water labour service. Besides, the main results obtained in the research are shown, indentifying how in the case, service differentiation given by the intrinsic features of water labour modality is a determinant feasibility factor for creating this service as a strategic business unit in a previously established hospital in Barranquilla.Este trabajo busca describir cómo ladiferenciación, vista como herramienta competitiva,puede ser utiliza¿.a con éxito para ayudar a aumentar el desarrollo de las organizaciones enun entorno altamente competitivo. El tema se aborda tomando como referencia un casode estudio del se·:tor salud, particularmente el servicio de gineco-obstetricia (modalidadde parto en agua).Se presentan las características esenciales que fueron identificadas como factoresdiferenciadores del servicio y que aprovechándolas serian un indicador de la viabilidad delproyecto específico de establecer un servicio de parto en agua.
