Summary:This work objective is to show the diffirent approaches to measure the impact of human capitalmanagement in business results, based on bibliographic review and the author’s experience. Four approachesare shown: studies of correlation of human capital practices with enterprise financial results;measure of strategic contribution of human capital; indicators of economical impact of human capitalat an enterprise level; and methods of measuring the impact of interventions or programs. As a result,it is proposed a classification of measuring methods found and it is stated an evolutive structure inmeasuring human capital management (operative, strategic and of value contribution measure).This classification assures different roles to human capital management: efficient manager, strategiccontributor, and business partner.
