Additionally, to use the EVAas a tool of financial evaluation, we determine the structure of the capital of everysector, the costs of income sources (Kdt for passive, and Ke for the patrimony), thecost of the capital, levels of required investment (operational net assets), and theprofitability of the investment. In conclusion and efficiently, all these informationserved to calculate the EVA for each sector of the Colombian economy during theyears of 2000 and 2005.Este artículo muestra el análisis sobre la generación de valor en laeconomía colombiana en 60 sectores. La información fue tomada de labase de datos Análisis Financiero y de Negocios (afine). Esta informaciónfue analizada y depurada a fin de adecuarla a los requerimientos dela metodología deleva. Para ello se realizó un análisis del panoramaeconómico del período de estudio, para relacionarlo y determinar suincidencia en el desempeño económico–financiero. Adicionalmente, paraaplicar eleva como herramienta de evaluación financiera se determinó laestructura de capital de cada sector, los costos de las fuentes de recursos(Kdt para los pasivos y Ke para el patrimonio), el costo del capital,los niveles de inversión requeridos (Activos operacionales netos), larentabilidad sobre la inversión.
