Summary: | This research has as main objective to analyze through a case study the autonomy principle and its application in the figure of informed consent in dealing with surgical procedures and treatment for sex assignment in underage population. The conclusion is that even if our Constitutional Court applies this principle based on the constitutionality block to the prevalence of the fundamental rights of the children, one of which is the right to sexual identity and gender, this does not include the option of the minor of not being classified either as a female or a male. |
