Results were obtained through a simple correspondence analysisof a questionnaire used in 302 enterprises, all of them in Rio de Janeiro.Este artículo es el resultado de una investigación desarrollada en laciudad de Río de Janeiro, Brasil. El interés de este trabajo es: primero,identificar el grado de especialización de las diversas áreas industrialesde la ciudad, y segundo, la identificación de las fortalezas competitivaslocales. Esta investigación apunta a la identificación de la medida en laque las condiciones competitivas conducen al crecimiento de empresasindustriales en las diferentes áreas productivas de especialización y a suinterés en la colaboración entre ellas.
