El proyecto tiene como propósito diseñar e implementar un sistema de información automatizado para la gestión de inventarios en IPS Delta, una institución del sector salud que enfrenta graves deficiencias en el manejo de sus insumos médicos. La falta de un control adecuado ha generado problemas como el desperdicio por vencimientos, robos y sobrecostos derivados de pérdidas, lo que afecta tanto los costos operativos como la calidad del servicio. El sistema propuesto permitirá registrar y monitorear en tiempo real los insumos disponibles, e incluirá alarmas para notificar productos próximos a vencer, mejorando así la planificación y la eficiencia en el uso de recursos. Adicionalmente, se plantearon dos estrategias de apoyo: una para reorganizar la bodega, optimizando el acceso y la operatividad, y otra para aprovechar los insumos de baja rotación, evitando pérdidas innecesarias. Estas medidas buscan reducir costos, garantizar la disponibilidad de insumos críticos y fortalecer la calidad del servicio, promoviendo una gestión más eficiente y sostenible. |

The lack of adequate control has generated problems such as waste due to expiration dates, theft, and cost overruns resulting from losses, which affect both operating costs and quality of service. The proposed system will make it possible to register and monitor available supplies in real time, and will include alarms to notify of products that are about to expire, thus improving planning and efficiency in the use of resources. In addition, two support strategies were proposed: one to reorganize the warehouse, optimizing access and operations, and the other to take advantage of slow-moving supplies, avoiding unnecessary losses.
