Summary:Currently, there is an opportunity to improve the process of advising students from the Engineering division of the Universidad del Norte regarding academic issues, given that long response waiting times have been evidenced in certain periods, in turn, some of current channels are only available during working timetables and require queue time. To carry out the solution of the problem, the variables to be considered in the design were identified, the diagnosis of the current situation was made, and the characterizations of the main academic processes were developed. Finally, the validation of concepts, graphic and textual elements of the interface was carried out from a focus group, with the objective of verifying compliance with the requirements presented by the interested parties. As a final product, the user interface of the web application called Eureka Uninorte was obtained, a knowledge base that provides four (4) options: Eureka Uninorte Community, Frequently Asked Questions, Eureka Chatbot and Scheduling Appointments with Coordinator, facilitating the consultation process and integrating different alternatives to resolve concerns about academic processes online.
