Summary:The article is intended to showcase a current general description as a result of literature review about contributions and studies made by experts in relation with two internal strategies which favor the companies’ competitiveness: competences management and the business coaching exercise. Arguments provided allow viewing the job competitions as a need of development to improve the performance of the organization’s staff that needs to cope with the requirements of its environment to achieve goals successfully. Moreover business coaching, as an alternative to orient, guide and lead the staff potential to develop their capacities and skills to maximize their job performance.
