description Este artículo analiza y reflexiona sobre el uso y las ventajas de las Tecnologías de Información y Comunicación (TIC) en los procesos de negociación internacional de las empresas colombianas, todo ello a partir de un estudio de campo realizado en 380 empresas, soportado por entrevistas telefónicas. De los resultados obtenidos se concluye que en Colombia la mayoría de empresas utilizan, para sus procesos de negociación internacional, TIC genéricas y convencionales, las cuales influyen favorablemente en la negociación, facilitan diversas actividades y ofrecen ventajas asociadas con la construcción de buenas relaciones, obtención de alternativas de contacto y generación de eficiencia entre clientes y proveedores, como también un efecto en la reducción de tiempos totales y gastos de desplazamiento.

It is concluded that in Colombia most companies use for their international negotiation processes generic and conventional ICT which favorably influence the negotiation, and facilitate a wide range of activities and offers advantages associated with rapport building, generating efficiency and obtaining different ways to contact customers and suppliers, as well as an effect on the reduction of total time and travel expenses.Este artigo analisa e reflexiona sobre o uso e as vantagens das Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação (TIC) nos processos de negociação internacional das empresas colombianas, tudo isso a partir de um estudo de campo realizado em 380 empresas, suportado por entrevistas telefônicas.
