The analysis focuses on the values, ideas and beliefs transmitted by these films, which were presented to the public as just entertainment but were in essence ideological vehicles. The male dominance, the subservience of women, the exploitation of other Celtiberian issues that had relevance at that time, the glorification of the all things Spanish when in presence of foreignness are some of the characteristic features of these musical comedies whose happy endings suggested that success was within the reach of anyone who complied with the prevailing codes of conduct of the late-Francoist Spain.engspaUniversity of La LagunaComunicación y Lenguajes AudiovisualesFacultad de Comunicaciónhttps://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-84979961619&doi=10.4185%2fRLCS-2013-974en&partnerID=40&md5=2c1606b48803ab41a0f6ff23ad58939268182208Revista Latina de Comunicacion SocialAltares, P., Mitos y cultura kitsch en la España del desarrollo (1972) Triunfo, 533, pp. 30-35. , Madrid, December;Burgos, A., Manolo Escobar, último baluarte del nacional-folklorismo (1976) Triunfo, 693, pp. 42-45. , Madrid, May;Gil Gascón, F., Gómez, G.S., Women, Engagement and Censorship In the Spanish Cinema. 1939-1959 (2010) Revista Latina de Comunicación Social, pp. 460-471. , http://www.revistalatinacs.org/10/art3/912_Malaga/34_GomezEN.html, La Laguna (Tenerife): Universidad de La Laguna, 10.4185/RLCS-65-2010-912-460-471-EN;ScopusAestheticsCinemaIdeologyLate-FrancoismMusical numberStoryThe image of the late-Francoist Spain in the films of Manolo Escobar [La imagen de la España tardofranquista en las películas de Manolo Escobar]Articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/articlehttp://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_2df8fbb1Huerta-Floriano, M.Á., Pontifical University of Salamanca;Pérez-Morán, E., Universidad de MedellínHuerta-Floriano M.Á.Pérez-Morán E.http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_16ec11407/4933oai:repository.udem.edu.co:11407/49332020-12-15 15:05:30.462Repositorio Institucional Universidad de Medellinrepositorio@udem.edu.co
