Como respuesta a esta posición negativa, seanaliza en segundo lugar la posición de Munévar, según la cual el yo debe ser entendido como el cerebro en su complejidad y, en tercer lugar, lapropuesta naturalista de Searle, según la cual el yo no debe entenderse como la actividad cerebral en su conjunto, sino como una propiedad sistémicaque emerge de él. En ambos casos se evalúan las consecuencias que estas tienen posiciones sobre la relación entre el cerebro y el yo para el libre albedrío.

In the first place,the position of Llinás according to which the self, and with it the free will, is a myth is analyzed. In response to this negative position, the position ofMunévar, according to which the self should be understood as the brain in its complexity, is analyzed in the second place. In the third place, the naturalistic proposal of Searle according to which the self should not be understood as the activity of the brain as a whole but as a systemic property that emerges from it is analyzed.
