Este documento presenta una postura de los autores alrededor del proceso de búsqueda y selección de información, como elemento articulado a un contexto académico. En dicha postura, se exponen algunos criterios que deben ser tenidos en cuenta para que este proceso sea efectivo y se define un procedimiento para dicha actividad, partiendo de la identificación o definición de una necesidad de información, pasando por la selección del método adecuado para la búsqueda y recuperación de información y la planificación de una estrategia de búsqueda de información, para finalmente poder evaluar los resultados encontrados, resaltando la relevancia de la búsqueda y selección efectiva de información en el marco de las actividades de las Instituciones de Educación Superior |
