Description
Summary:The well-being and the quality of life in the workers of an organization, are essential to maintain an adequate level of motivation that contributes to the satisfaction of their needs and, in turn, to the achievement of the organizations objectives. This thesis was carried out based on the activities developed in the substitute homes modality, structured by the Colombian Family Welfare Institute (ICBF) for the care of children and adolescents (NNA) in disability status, who are under protection measure; the administration of this program was assigned to the ONG Crecer en Familia foundation in the city of Cali. The work carried out by this foundation is with a social purpose because they work for the restoration of the rights of children and adolescents with different types of disabilities, as well as the protection of early childhood. The objective of the thesis is focused on proposing economic alternatives that improve the well-being of the surrogate mothers linked to the program “substitute homes with disabilities” of the ONG Crecer en Familia foundation, since currently, they do not have recognized the status of workers and receive from the government a precarious economic recognition that is not enough to satisfy the set of basic needs. To this end, the research question is as follows: What economic alternatives are viable to improve the welfare of surrogate mothers linked to the Crecer en Familia foundation in the city of Cali? According to Acevedo, J. (2012), the few constitutional guarantees for the fulfillment of economic, political, social and cultural rights of citizens in Colombia, makes it difficult for families to have access to decent housing, food, health, employment and education, which puts life and the integral development of children in the country at risk. To argue the solution to the problem, we used the model of entrepreneurship proposed by Freire (2009), where he explains how to start a business or an idea, how to obtain the structure, mold, or leadership convictions to undertake. The research is of qualitative and quantitative type, in it the elaboration of surveys was used as a strategy for gathering information. Surveys were carried out to surrogate mothers belonging to the substitute household program of the ONG Crecer en Familia Foundation. The obtained results allowed us to identify relevant aspects to suggest entrepreneurship alternatives aligned with the interests and needs of surrogate mothers
