Description
Summary:This research is carried out in order to establish the impact of social representations in the academic projection of female students aged 15 to 17 years of the Francisco José de Caldas Educational Institution in Buenaventura, for which a qualitative research was carried out in which natural observation, focal group and semi-structured interviews of primary and secondary sources were used. Identifying the social representations of female students and the impact of these representations in the academic projection of them is achieved through a recognition of their social, family and academic context by communication tools for development. Female students have constructed social representations from the reality in which they live and have academic projections that lack meaning, becoming distant ideals for them. Finally, on this situation recommendations are made in the order of communication for change with the proposal of a strategic communication model that works hand in hand with the community and encourages them an academic projection linked to the advancement in their knowledge and an improvement in quality of life.
