description The present work proposed the structure of the environmental management system for the Regional Environmental Directorate south-eastern of the Regional Autonomous Corporation - CVC with headquarters in Palmira, Valle del Cauca. This process was carried out through the collection of information for the preparation of the initial environmental review that allowed the identification and evaluation of environmental aspects, and the applicability and compliance with legal requirements was identified and determined. Based on this, the necessary requirements were met to address the establishment of the environmental policy and environmental management programs were subsequently established, as an instrument to integrate environmental objectives and goals, and each stage of the process was finally documented to ensure the effectiveness of the planning. The result is the conclusion of the proposal for the structure of the environmental management system, the formulation of four environmental programs focused on significant environmental aspects such as water, energy, solid waste and raw materials and the establishment of environmental goals and targets addressed to the continuous improvement

Este proceso se llevó a cabo por medio de recolección de información para la elaboración de la revisión ambiental inicial que permitió la identificación y evaluación de los aspectos ambientales, y se identificó y determinó la aplicabilidad y el cumplimiento de los requisitos legales. A partir de esto se reunieron los requisitos necesarios para abordar el establecimiento de la política ambiental y seguido se establecieron programas de gestión ambiental, como instrumento integrador de objetivos y metas ambientales, finalmente se documentó cada etapa del proceso para asegurar la eficacia de la planificación.
